Purpose - Why We Exist

 


Global Space Enablers Network (GSEN) is a network of space enablers committed to catalyzing and empowering equitable entrepreneurial space ecosystems in developing and emerging countries, to ensure an abundant future in space for everyone.

Priorities - What We Do

We support collaborations and networks by addressing these priority areas:

  • Connecting Enablers  — Bringing together global space ecosystem builders to connect, learn, and support each other to gather best practices and toolkits through communication and resource platforms, events, convening meetings, peer consultations, and other network activities. 

  • Creating Equal Opportunity – Catalyze and run innovation activities that will lead to new opportunities in creating local space ecosystems. 

  • Building Capacity — Strengthen the capabilities of others to catalyze and coordinate successful space ecosystems  through training, workshops, advising, and funding

  • Advising – Sharing expertise and experience on lessons learned and best practices to network members.

  • Advocating – Promoting network goals globally and recruiting new members through articles and blogs, conference appearances, webinars, and content creation.

  • Advancing the Field — Support development of best methodologies, success metrics, and processes through member research, papers, and project initiatives on space ecosystem building. 

The priorities of the network will always support our purpose, but specific priority areas may shift as the network grows and matures.

  • Open – We value transparency. Whenever practicable, we develop using open-source methodologies. We value collaboration over competition.

  • Science and Research – We support the advancement of science and technology in pursuit of planetary stewardship and space exploration.

Priorities - Who We Are

Members of the Network are independent professionals, organizations, or existing networks who work together via self-organization and distributed leadership to advance our shared purpose. Members are:

  • Pursuing a similar purpose of birthing or growing space ecosystems in their local community,
  • Leading and supporting space ecosystem building in their local area or would like to play an active role  in the future,
  • Committed to equitable, social, and environmental impact,
  • Meaningfully contributing to the network’s growth and evolution.
